Were you born and raised where you live right now? Does your house/apartment feel like home? More importantly, do you feel comfortable and at home in your own town/city? I feel at home in my apartment with Charlotte just outside Aalesund, but I do not feel at home in Aalesund. It's strange, considering I was born in that city. I spent my first 4 years in Aalesund, before I moved to Oslo with my mom. I grew up in Oslo. My mom and I lived in Oslo until 5 or 6 years ago, because of a not so great happening, and the fact that kids at school were mocking me. We moved back to Aalesund, but it never truly felt like home to me. Every time I was in Oslo I felt at home. Oslo has been my home ever since I was 5 years old. But this time it was different, I didn't feel the city welcoming me the way it used to when I landed at the airport. And it leaves me with the feeling of "not having a home". They say that home is where you leave your heart at. I guess I'll leave my heart with someone, one day. This is starting to sound kinda emo, but that was not my intentions.
I got to the airport early Wednesday morning, and there I met a lot of people that also were going to the concert, and ofc that means that I met friends there. So I sat down with Sylvia, Martin and Anders after beeping in the safety check point-thingy. Martin was eating something that was supposed to remind us about breakfast, while complaining about it being too dry he "unfolded" it and this was the result:
Butterfly-breakfast!
At the airplane they were sitting in row 18 and I was in row 24, so I didn't see much of them for the rest of the trip, but it was kinda OK to have someone to talk to while waiting for our plane to board.
I was picked up at the airport by my mom and her BF. It was great to finally see her again, I gotta admit that it's really weird to go from living together for 18 years, to live in two different cities. Anywhoo.. When my mom and I got to her apartment/room/cave, or just whatever you'd like to call it, we talked about life and everything until I decided to get some sleep before the concert. Which turned out to be a good idea, if you look away from the part where I had to rush through getting dressed and fix my makeup. We had dinner at my mom's BF's house, with his daughter (which is also a childhood friend of mine).
Then my mom and I were off to let Avenged Sevenfold blow our minds. And they sure as hell did! They delivered way more and better than expected. I think it's safe to say that I had the fucking in of my life!
The night couldn't end just yet, so we went to a pub named "Elm Street Rock Café", which was a really cewsy place, to grab something to drink.
Ofc I got hungry, so I found myself a Espen, and we went on an adventure to find me some real kebab (Oslo-kebab > All)!
The next day Espen, Gaute and I went out to eat. We ended up eating at Big Horn Steak House, omnomnom!
I forgot to take the picture when I got my food,
I was too hungry and it tasted waaay too good.
Oslo is prewty.
Later that evening I met up with a gorgeous girl named Tonje (visit her Norwegian blog here). We found a place to sit down and talk while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate.
Friday, my mom woke me up around 3 in the morning by taking up too much space in the bed. Rofl. I couldn't fall asleep for a few hours, which lead to me not waking up when I was supposed to. My mom and I were going to town and take a look at stuff, buy this and that before eating dinner at her BF's house again.
facebookrape!
I spent the evening with Ida, just talking, catching up and laughing. I had a really great time in Oslo, and I can't wait for the next time I'm going there.
I love you mom.
Kjære søte vakre pene! Unskyld for at jeg aldri sendte en sms så vi kunne hookeopp når du først var her. Men onkelen min døde i helgen, så life has not been that easy.
